Two scopes
- Workspace-level fields — applied across all signups (mailing list, audience join)
- Book-level fields — specific to one book (used on its ARC signup form and shown on Book Readers)
Field types
- Short text

- Boolean (yes/no checkbox)

- Single-select dropdown
- Multi-select (with optional “Allow other” custom value)
Per-field options
- Label, internal key, description
- Required or optional

- Active toggle (hide without deleting)

- Select options (for select/multi-select)
Visibility flags
- Workspace fields: show in audience table, show in public signup form
- Book fields: show in book readers table, show in public signup form

- Reader profile (always editable)

- CSV import (any active workspace field becomes a recognized column)
