How it works

Sources

  • Goodreads — scraped periodically when a goodreads_url is set on the book
  • Amazon — scraped from retailer URLs containing ASINs
  • CabinsPress buyers — verified buyers can submit star ratings and written reviews after purchase via the public book page

Display

  • On the public book page in the Reviews section
  • On the Book Detail Reviews tab in the author app
  • On the Camp Fire store product detail (Goodreads aggregate)
  • Each review shows provider label (Goodreads / Amazon / Cabins Press), reviewer name, star rating, text, date, like count

Aggregate metrics

  • Goodreads average rating and review count surfaced on the book card and book detail
Refresh cadence: Goodreads/Amazon reviews refresh on a scheduled job — newest reviews appear within hours to days.

  • Requires authenticated buyer account
  • Star rating + optional written text
  • Submitted via the public book page after purchase
