# Public ARC Signup Form

## Overview

A themed signup form on the author site that captures reader details and adds them to the book's ARC reader list.

## How it works

### Page layout

* Hero image (the book's 16:9 cover)
* Custom **ARC reader header** (rich HTML — author writes the welcome message)
* Form fields:
  * First and last name
  * Email
  * Optional Instagram handle
  * Optional shipping address (if the author is sending physical ARCs)
  * **Workspace custom fields** marked "show in public signup"
  * **Book-level custom fields** marked "show in public signup" (e.g., "Have you read Book 1?")
  * Marketing consent checkbox
  * Bot-protection captcha (Cloudflare Turnstile)
* **Countdown bar** when the signup window is closing soon
* **Themed success state** — custom greeting (supports `{firstName}` substitution)

**Form persistence:** Progress is saved in a session cookie so a reader who navigates away can return without losing their entries.

### On successful signup

* Reader created as an ARC reader (workspace and book license)
* Optional shipping address saved
* First-touch attribution source recorded
* Themed thank-you state appears

### Error handling

* "ARC signup is full" message when cap reached
* "ARC signup is closed" outside the signup window
* Validation errors per field
* Captcha failures retry inline
